It didn't make my teeth sensitive - but I don't think I've had any whiteners make my teeth sensitive.

I have not had that problem with this product. I have tried the gels and strips in the past which did make my teeth sensitive. So far so good with this one.

I&#39;VE FOUND OTHER TOOTHPASTES FOR SENSITIVE TEETH TO WORK JUST FINE.  THIS MADE MINE MORE SENSITIVE WHILE BRUSHING.

will it make my teeth sensitive like other whiteners?

I can't say for sure this whitens crowns, but I do have several and have noticed that the shade of white of all my teeth are uniform after using this product. An even whiteness and smooth gloss finish.

Flora I went back to using my usual brand of whitening toothpaste after having tried the Crest HD system and that seemed to resolve any staining issues. That toothpaste is Colgate Sparking White-mint flavor.
Try giving this a shot I feel it works much better than the Crest HD.

I don't know, I did not experience this. Maybe it slightly whitened most of the surface and what your seeing is some more stubborn, remaining stains. If you have concerns, I would see a your dentist.

Crest HD is an awesome product. I drink coffee and I also smoke. My teeth are always a bit dingy. I have tried whitening toothpastes, whitening strips, whitening gels, and even professional whiteners. I have been content with these but never pleased. When I saw that the Crest HD box promised 6X whiter teeth in 6 days, I laughed. I did not expect any great results from toothpaste.
I used the product on a Monday morning and immediately noticed that my teeth actually felt as clean as if I had just been to the dentist. I wasn't sure they looked really clean but they felt great. On Tuesday morning, I again used the 2 step toothpaste and was surprised to see that a few spots that have been stained for years, looked lighter. By Wednesday, I was convinced, my teeth actually were looking better. They actually looked great. Not yellowed. I have a cap on a tooth that was matched to my teeth 2 years ago. My teeth are actually whiter than the cap now. I have now used the product for 7 days and I can't say that they are 6x whiter but they are certainly whiter and cleaner than they have been with any other product. They feel great too. Crest HD is a 2 part process. First you brush with a minty paste for one minute, then, without rinsing, you add the 2nd part which is a gel, and brush some more. It takes no longer than usual brushing and the results are terrific.

CREST PRO-WHITE WOW

I have only used this for two weeks and my yellowed, dull teeth are remarkably white and bright. I do not remember the last time I had white teeth. Now everyone is commenting on my smile. Step one tastes like your typical baking soda toothpaste, but step two is a stronger, burning mint paste. I followed the instructions and did not notice the results until 14 days later. I have tried other whiteners with no luck, but this one really works. My only concern was that the first two days of using this twice a day, blisters formed on the insides of my cheeks. Not painful, just rough broken skin. I continued to use the product and no new blisters formed and the ones that were there went away. My teeth did not become sensitive. Great product

This two-step dental care system consists of a 4 oz. tube of Purifying Cleanser and a 2.5 oz. tube of Perfecting Gel. The first step is to use a generous amount of the Purifying Cleanser to brush your teeth for one minute and then SKIP rinsing your mouth and then brush again with the second step, the Perfecting Gel.

I found the Purifying Cleanser to be a blue green metallic gel paste with only a slight abrasiveness and a mild mint flavor. I feel that it gave a more than adequate clean. I did rinse my toothbrush before using the second step, the clear and slick Perfecting Gel. I used this set with an electric sonic type toothbrush and am very pleased with the System's performance. After using the system for the first time, my teeth felt very polished, even after waking up the next day.

I could see a visible difference after the second day of use, my teeth were indeed whiter and shinier, and after a week's use I began receiving complements from others regarding the whiteness and shine of my teeth. I am a smoker and heavy coffee drinker, and am incredibly pleased with this product. It performs as it claims and is worth the price.

A million dollar smile for less than $20

Crest Pro-Health [HD] is a 2-step system. It comes with 2 tubes. Step 1 is a 4 oz. tube of fluoride toothpaste for anti-cavity and anti-gingivitis. It is referred to as a purifying cleanser that helps strip away plaque. You are supposed to brush with this toothpaste for 1 minute then spit out, but do not rinse your mouth. This is followed by Step 2. Step 2 is in a 2.3 oz tube that is referred to as a perfecting gel which polishes and whitens. You are supposed to apply the gel to your toothbrush and brush for an additional minute. Then you can spit out and rinse your mouth. Although the box says this is a daily 2-step system, the directions suggest that for optimal results, use twice daily instead of your current toothpaste. The claim is 6X healthier mouth & 6X whiter teeth in 1 week because of gingivitis reduction vs. ordinary toothpaste, and whiter teeth vs. ordinary toothpaste. What I have noticed is that it does not irritate my gums and make my teeth sensitive like some other whitening agents I have tried. It does not have or leave a minty fresh feel or taste like other whitening toothpastes. I think my teeth look whiter and definitely feel clean. It is a more natural clean feeling, not harsh astringent-like clean. Easy to use with my sonic toothbrush that has a distinct sound every 30 sec. so I know when my 1st and 2nd minutes are up. I would recommend it.

Gentle on my teeth and gums!

This toothpaste comes very nicely packaged. I almost hated to open it and damage the box. The toothpaste came with very specific instructions. You are to use it for a week and notice the difference in the whiteness of your teeth. There are two tubes of toothpaste - the first one is for scrubbing your teeth clean and the second one is for polishing them. The tubes are numbered 1 and 2 so you don't confuse the two. You are supposed to brush your teeth for one minute with both the tubes so the total brush time is two minutes. Tube number 1 is just barely gritty so it can scrub your teeth. I don't think I would have noticed the grit if I hadn't been watching for it. I would like to make a personal suggestion here: Don't use a hard toothbrush when using this product. A soft one will work just fine - or a medium one might work. But this product really scrubs your teeth and I had to go very lightly with my hard toothbrush so the toothpaste wouldn't hurt my gums and probably my teeth. But it does get your teeth white. Be sure you brush along the gum lines and every speck of your teeth because if you don't get some part of your teeth, they will show the color difference. This is a whitening toothpaste. Tube 2, or the polishing part of the toothpaste is kind of tough to take - for me, anyway. I believe its main ingredient is hydrogen peroxide and that stuff is nasty. It sticks to your gums and the inside of your mouth and you carry that peroxide taste with you all day no matter how long you rinse. Also, after a few days of using it, my mouth started getting very sore. I believe the toothpaste irritated my gums even though it got my teeth shiny bright. I feels really good to have a confident smile and not worry about the color of your teeth. You know they will be white. So it's kind of a trade-off. Next time we are at Wal-Mart I'm going to buy a soft tooth brush. Not sure if it will make much of a difference because the toothpaste itself is very strong. I can't believe I did this, but I actually took pictures of my teeth from day to day while using this toothpaste and they showed a definite difference. My teeth were whiter and more polished looking, but my gums were really sore.

Cleaning and Polishing Toothpaste

The Crest Pro-Health HD Daily Two-step System worked well on my teeth. My teeth are naturally not white, meaning they are normally a yellowish color. Coffee, tea, chocolate and other foods that stain teeth just make it worse. So what I was really looking for was not sparkling white cartoon teeth, but just natural clean looking teeth.
Each step is supposed to last one minute. The first step is the cleaning paste. It has a slight grit to it like the kind the dentist uses. I use an electric toothbrush, too. I liked the clean feeling it gave my teeth, but the directions say to not rinse between steps, which was really difficult since it's a habit to rinse.
The whitener step was what I expected, a clear gel. It did make those white spots on my gums once, but they went away after a few minutes.
Overall, I think my teeth felt cleaner and seemed less stained. It's easy, not messy, and the taste is like normal paste, not medical tasting at all. There's also quite a lot in each tube, enough to last one person at least two weeks, depending how heavy you apply your paste.
My photo isn't perfect, as the lighting was slightly different in each, but you can get the general idea.

Helped keep stains under control

This two-step system seems to be doing a decent job. I have been using this system for almost 2 weeks now and have noticed a slight difference. My teeth definitely feel cleaner and smoother after using step 1 (removes plaque). Step 2 is the whitening gel and it is quite gooey. I don't see much of a difference in the whitening of teeth in pictures but I could tell when I was FaceTiming a family member. Pros: Leaves your mouth feeling fresh and clean. I can tell that my teeth are a little more whiter. Since you have to time how long you brush for the two steps, I have been brushing for the full 2 minutes that is recommended by dentists. I don't think I was brushing as long before. Cons: Toothpaste did leave a few white marks on my upper gum but these did disappear by the next brushing. I do have a few sensitive teeth and the toothpaste did on some occasions bother them. I am going to finish out the tubes and will see how it goes!

Leaves your mouth feeling fresh and clean

I used the two step process for exactly 1 week, below you can see the results. They were taken under the same light. I definitely feel like when I look in the mirror that my teeth are whiter. I will continue to use the toothpaste for another full week and hopefully see even more dramatic results. Step 1 is much like regular toothpaste and the instructions say to brush for 1 minute and then spit. Step 2 tastes like and looks like a whitening gel (clear) and you brush with this for 1 minute also. Then rinse and spit. While the process does not take longer than normal brushing, switching pastes mid-brush is a bit tedious twice-a-day, everyday. After two weeks I'll use my regular Crest Pro-Health toothpaste to avoid any possible increase in sensitivity that usually comes with whitening. The packaging is very eco-friendly and I applaud Crest in this respect.
