- Reviewed in the United States on August 14, 2024The Star Wars Lead Villain Extendable Lightsaber is the ultimate toy for fans of all ages, bringing the excitement of the galaxy far, far away right into your living room! With a flick of the wrist, you can extend the lightsaber and feel like the lead villain yourself, minus the galactic domination plans. It's durable enough to withstand epic battles against the forces of good (or your pet cat), and the side red plastic cones add that extra 'oomph' to your villainous presence. Whether you're reenacting your favorite scenes or creating new adventures, this lightsaber is a hit for kids and adults alike. Just remember, it's all fun and games until someone takes the role-play too seriously and starts quoting the entire script of "The Empire Strikes Back" at the dinner table. May the fun be with you!

- Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2016This product is a must have for any star Wars aficionado. Our first impression of this item was its realistic physical features similar to those portrayed in the movies as well. Needless to say this toy took abuse from me and my newphew. After our trial period of 10 days the toy still looks brand new, as if it was just removed from the package. Based on what this toy has already been through I believe this toy will stand the test of time with our children.
In addition to being a fun toy any adult collector would love to add this to their collection. Although the product is advertise this way it would be a great addition for later models.
I would definitely recommended this product to any one who is looking for an affordable action toy suited for all ages. The only drawback is that the two sides don't spring out as easy so just make sure to swing the blade harder and that should do the trick!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 4, 2016I'm really impressed with this simple toy meant for kids. The design is very nice and lightweight. The two smaller "blades" are spring loaded so that when the big one comes out the smaller two follow. The blades also have some wavy designs on them so it somewhat captures the unstable look of the lightsaber from the movie. Some people have said that it's a little hard for the blades to come out. Here's how to do it the right way.
The instruction show a picture of holding the lightsaber normally and flicking your wrist. Even if you use a lot of force, no pun intended, the blade won't come out. This is just due to physics and the mechanics of the toy.
What you need to do is hold it near the bottom so it becomes a little top heavy and it will come out much easier when you flick your wrist.

The fact that you have to attach it to another product to make it light up really sucks!! It's already big enough as it is, let alone adding an additional toy to it. It's cool, but not $10 or more cool. I see it's cheaper now than what we paid, but still...
Not a big fan. I won't say not to buy it, but if your kids wants something that lights up or makes sounds then this is not the toy for you.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2015This a very durable and has stood up to excessive abuse by both my 5yr old and 3 yr old. The side red plastic cones do not come out until you extend the larger saber part. Meaning my kids would push both sides in while the main light saber portion was already extend and they could not get the other two sabers to come back out. It really was a user error. You just push the larger saber back and use the force (ok dark side) to extend the large saber and the smaller side pieces extend as well. Cool product the kids love it and have not broke it given it has been 3 months of use.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 29, 2020For elementary aged kids these sabers are durable! My 14 year old got a bunch for he and his friends they are tough and can withstand alot in battle, but not the way that a teen likes to test them...walls patios etc. But I will buy them again. They are a bit busted up but honestly, despite their abuse by teen boys they are still holding together enough to battle! .....Boys!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2016Who doesn't love a light saber? Collapsable into itself and now my 7yo loves to "stab" things cause the tip retracts and looks like the person is actually getting stabbed... benefit of the design. Collapses with ease both on the sides as well as the main shaft.
