Good gift for kids

My ten year old son LOVES Minecraft and Legos so this was a huge win! At a very affordable price. He put it together in less than an hour but can also rearrange it two other ways which is very cool to him.

LEGO Minecraft "The Wool Farm" (260 pieces).

This one was a fairly easy build (2 big bags of bricks, 3 small ones).  Assembling the base plates was the most time-consuming part.

This is a building set within a building set too, because, for variety, the large red sheep can be easily disassembled (mostly one stud connections) and changed into a big heart or giant parrot instead.  I presume those are statues/monuments in the video game, but, as I've never played it, I don't know.

You get a Steve mini figure and three sheep (2 dyed adults and a lamb).  Steve comes with a pair of shears (actually 2, in case you lose one) and the red and yellow sheep's larger four stud back bricks can be exchanged with flesh-colored ones to simulate them being shorn of their wool, which is a nice touch.

This is a silly-looking kit, but, I like it.  Most of the other Minecraft sets are more combat orientated, so, this peaceful, everyday life one is a nice change.  The minimalist, blocky style will turn off some people, but, that's what Minecraft looks like, and there's a retro LEGO charm to it.  Pretty good value too (retails for 20 dollars, I spent 16). 3.5/5.0 balls of wool.

My kids absolutely love Legos and their rooms are overflowing with Lego sets. This particular set, however, is prone to fall apart due to some of the bricks only having 1 hole on top for connecting. Normally my kids build on their own, but this kept falling apart even while I was trying to help. Very frustrating! I would recommend picking a different set to purchase.
